Provillus… I never knew what Provillus was until now (saw an ad about it). But before diving throught this super long post about hair loss, treatment for hair loss, remedy and other things about hair, let me set my disclaimer first…

Disclaimer: This is not a product review of Provillus nor is this a free advertisement of not only provillus or Rogaine or any other remedy product for hair loss. This is just a personal note, an expression of idea and trivia for people searching information for natural hair loss treatment both for men and women… and of course, no hair was lost or hurt during the making of this post.

Now, on with the hair…. err.. show.

Although this post is about Provillus (and related products) lets do a detour first and mention the following hair topics:

What are the causes of excessive hair loss?

Let me metion first that hair loss is not exclusively for men. This can also happen to women, that’s why there are also female hair loss treatment products out there… Provillus is one of em. both for men and women.

Anyway, a number of things can cause excessive hair loss. To quickly enumate from the top of my head (no pun) some possible causes:

• After surgery, medical reason
• Hormones
• Genes and hereditary

For example, about 3 or 4 months after an illness or a major surgery, you may suddenly lose a large amount of hair. This hair loss is related to the stress of the illness and is temporary.

Hormonal problems may cause hair loss. In my case, I once had a hyperthyroid. That is one possible reason for hair loss.. THank god I haven’t loss any of mine.. yet. If your thyroid gland is overactive or underactive, your hair may fall out. This hair loss usually can be helped by treatment thyroid disease. Hair loss may occur if male or female hormones, known as androgens and estrogens, are out of balance. Correcting the hormone imbalance may stop your hair loss.

Many women notice hair loss about 3 months after they’ve had a baby. This loss is also related to hormones. During pregnancy, high levels of certain hormones cause the body to keep hair that would normally fall out. When the hormones return to pre-pregnancy levels, that hair falls out and the normal cycle of growth and loss starts again.

Some medicines can cause hair loss. This type of hair loss improves when you stop taking the medicine. Medicines that can cause hair loss include blood thinners (also called anticoagulants), medicines used for gout, medicines used in chemotherapy to treat cancer, vitamin A (if too much is taken), birth control pills and antidepressants.

Certain infections can cause hair loss. Fungal infections of the scalp can cause hair loss in children. The infection is easily treated with antifungal medicines.

Finally, hair loss may occur as part of an underlying disease, such as lupus or diabetes. Since hair loss may be an early sign of a disease, it is important to find the cause so that it can be treated.

Provillus, is it a Scam?

Now back to our original topic - Is provillus a real solution or real treatment for hair loss? Is it the best hair loss product out there available in the market? Have you read any product review about Provillus? How was it? Is provillus better than any other herbal hair loss medicine?

There are tons of question about it, but everyone wants to know how to cure, remedy or prevent hair loss without doing surgery or hair transplant.

The Scam part about Provillus came to mind when I saw Tony’s website (baldingtony.com). It was there that he claims that Provillus is a scam.. Is it really? Go ahead and check it out. Then come back here and comment about his site and provillus if it is really a scam.
