Christian Slater! My Own Worst Enemy!

October 21st, 2008 by Root

There’s a new TV Series being shown here in Canada, or I guess in the North America region. The new TV show from NBC (right after Heroes) on the Global Channel is My Own Worst Enemy.

The pilot episode aired last week, October 13, 2008. You don’t believe me? Go check WikiPedia… Tonight is “My Own Worst Enemy’s” second episode. Sadly, I didn’t able to finished watching the first episode, I feel asleep. (The show’s not boring though, I was just tired from work)

About “My OWn Worst Enemy”

One man, two completely different character.. Henry and Edward… That’s what My Own Worst Enemy is all about.

It was reported that the pilot episode is free on itunes, imdb and others but not on utube? huh! Doesn’t matter, there’s always codek and bitorrent right?

My Own Worst Enemy explores the duality of a man who is literally pitted against himself, a la Dr. Henry Jekyll and Mr. Edward Hyde. And it raises the question: who can you trust when you can’t trust yourself? The series is produced by Universal Media Studios. Jason Smilovic is the executive producer; David Semel is the director and executive producer.

Henry Spivey/Edward Albright (played by Christian Slater) - Henry is a middle-class efficiency expert living a humdrum life in the suburbs with a wife, two kids, and a dog. Edward is an operative who speaks 13 languages, runs a four-minute mile, and is trained to kill. Henry and Edward are polar opposites who share only one thing in common—the same body. When the carefully constructed wall between them breaks down, Henry and Edward are thrust into unfamiliar territory where each man is dangerously out of his element. The first names match those of the two dueling spirits that shared a body in Robert Louis Stevenson’s novella Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. In that story, kindly Dr. Henry Jekyll’s alter ego is the violent, lecherous Mr. Edward Hyde.
