Klaatu is the humanoid alien protagonist in the 1951 science fiction film The Day the Earth Stood Still and its 2008 remake. Klaatu is famous in part due to the phrase “Klaatu barada nikto!” used in the classic film and its re-use in the Bruce Campbell cult comedy film Army of Darkness, as well as many other films.

The 2008 remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still features Keanu Reeves in the role of Klaatu and Jennifer Connelly as Helen Benson. While the original Klaatu was simply of a near-human species, in the remake it is stated that Klaatu’s race is not remotely human, so Klaatu’s biology was radically altered to give him a human form. A DNA sample acquired from a person in the 1920s formed the basis for Klaatu’s “human form”. He is captured by the military but escapes with help from Helen and activates Gort to destroy humanity. After spending time with Helen and her stepson Jacob, Klaatu sees another side of humanity and decides to try to stop the destruction of humanity. After saving Jacob from Gort, Klaatu sacrifices himself to stop Gort by walking into the cloud of nanites and touches the sphere, setting off a massive EMP just before his physical form is destroyed by the nanobots. The EMP he sets off fries Gort, saving humanity, but frying all of our technology as well.
Koobface virus is on the loose! Facebook and MySpace users please beware. The koobface worm or virus, once it gets into your computer (or infects it) will take your private data, like credit card numbers and other internet activies.
The news of this threatening virus was first discovered in the first days of December and after almost 2 weeks, the Koobface worm or virus is still going strong and continues to torment and spy on MySpace and facebook users. So the management of Facebook (through Barry Schnitt, the spokesperson) He said that there had been a lot of viruses that attempted to use Facebook to disseminate themselves. However he made it a point that only a very small portion of the whole Facebook population had been directly affected.
How Does the KoobFace Worm/Virus Work?
Just like any other worm, trojan and virus, the Koobface virus must be activated and executed first on the host’s local PC.. How they do this? Well, they first spam a Facebook/Myspace contact with comment title such as such as “Paris Hilton Tosses Dwarf On The Street” and “My friend catched [sic] you on hidden cam”or “You look just awesome in this new movie.”
Once the user clicks the link, he will be redirected to a page where he will be requested to download an update of Adobe Flash Player (apparently).. and there you go, you’ll be infected with the Koobface virus. Pretty clever.
But not to worry. McAffee and Facebook and Myspace told users that they are doing everything to stop and eliminate this menace.
I’ve been waiting for the new season of LOST since, forever! I love this show! I love each and every character of this ABC masterpiece. And now, the news is all over the internet! LOST Season 5 is almost here!
I saw a couple of Lost Season 5 trailer and spoilers and other fan made videos on utube and that only proves that I am not the only one waiting and obsessed with this super great tv show!
