Medical Plaza and Makati Medical Center

February 14th, 2008 by Root

It has been a long day for Elizar. (February 11, Monday)
Been all over the metro/makati all day… Left the house around 9:30am heading for Makati (22nd floor of HSBC Tower 2 to be specific). My mom asked me if I could go to Ethiad Airlines to reschedule her flight to Dammam, KSA.

I then proceeded to Medical Plaza to get a form to be presented to the Physician at Makati Medical Center.

Yun lang.. naubos oras sa Makati Med, tagal and ang daming tao.

Moments Of Love

February 11th, 2008 by Root

Just like what Orchid Lois said, (oopss, sorry.. That’s ‘Just like what my Honney said) we watched Moments of Love, today on GMA 7.

It starred Dingdong Dandes, Iza Calzdo and Karylle.

Just want to say that the movie is great even though the idea of the stories was taken from a number of different American movies.

Here’s what I think Moments of Love was based upon:

  1. Somewhere In Time
  2. Frequency
  3. The Lake House

Am I wrong? or Am I wrong? :D

Here are my points why I believe that the whole idea of “Moments of Love” was based on these three movies.

Somewhere In Time’s part in the Moments Of Love movie is the idea of two lovers living in different times. Also, the way the present male lead actor meets the ‘older’ female lead actor in the present time was also from Somewhere in Time.

The idea taken from The Lake House (and from Frequency, of course) is the way they two people communicate.

From the Lake House, Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock uses a mailbox to send notes from each other who are 2 years apart. And from the movie Frequency, Dennis Quaid and James Caviezel they uses a radio to communicate in a 30-year gap.

Cool eh? Do you recall some other ‘links’?

(post will be updated…)

Lost Season 04 Episode 00 and 01 and 02, SPOILERS

February 10th, 2008 by Root

Last night, I managed to download watch the premier episode of Lost’s fourth season! And it was great!

Episode 00 is a special episode where the whole 3 season’s of Lost are summarized in one episode, just like the 8 minutes LOST posted few days back.

I think the people behind LOST did a pretty good job in making that 8-minute Lost. It makes the fans and follower of the show more excited to see the then forth coming season four of the show.

And with this Episode 00 of Lost, this full episode summary plus the introduction of the main characters of the show, will also attract new viewers since they will be able to make heads and tails of the story of the show, hence continue to watch the fourth season.

Anyway, back the story..

Everything Eli dot Com Slapped By Google

February 9th, 2008 by Root

I Just found out tonight that my longest-running domain, everything-eli dot com, and many of its pages are removed from Google’s SERP.

Usually, when I search for my name, i.e. Elizar Palad, Google will show everything-eli.com on the first page, number one. If you search for “everything eli“, you will not see the site. “Everything-eli” nothing. Good thing “everything-eli.com” returned something…

Anyway, I know that this was caused by the paid posting activity that my blog was entered into which started May of last year. But come on, it’s just a very small percentage.

A few weeks ago, there was this very heated discussions between Google and Payperpost. This started when Google set the Page Rank of all those who participated in the paid blogging campain to zero.

Now I’m thinking of removing the PPP code and try to resubmit the site to Google.

Would that work, do you think?

Jurrasic Park Trilogy

February 5th, 2008 by Root

For the past 3 nights, we’ve been watching DVD using the Samsung HT X20 (sorry I have to say that. :D)

And for the past 3 nights also, we watched the 3 Jurrasic Park movies (yes, the spellings are intentional)

Jurrasic Park

The first Jurassic park movie, directed by Stephen Spielberg,  is all about that one of a kind themed park. The park of course features real live dinosaurs!

The scientist found out how to clone the dinosaurs using a fossilized mosquito which contains the DNA of different species of dinosaurs.

John Hammond brought together 3 dinosaur specialists for them to endorse the park. They are Dr. Alan Grant, Dr. Ellie and Dr. Malcolm.

Things went wrong when an unhappy employee tries to steal some of the DNA.

Jurassic Park: The Lost World

Dr. Malcom returns on the sequel of the original Jurrasic Park, this time entitled The Lost World.

For this movie, John Hammond reveals that there was a second island - what he called “Site B”. Site B apparently is where the dinosaurs are cloned and bred.

John Hammond sent out teams to documents (written and photo) all the dinosaurs on that island.

Malcom went to the island to get her girlfriends who was also sent by Mr. Hammond to the island.

Jurassic Park III

On the third franchise of the film, Sam Neil who played Dr. Alan Grant went to Site B.

A divorced couple asked Dr. Grant to “tour” them on Site B.
